Your wedding photography is an investment in your family history.
When my Nan passed away, all I wanted to do was sit down with my Mom, and look through my Nan's old photos and have a good cry. We went through about ten battered shoeboxes full of old photos and here's what happened.
I looked at faces I had never met and asked my Mom 'who's that?' I saw my Mom as a little girl and listened to her recollect funny memories - like how my Grandad read the last rites to her while she was bent over the toilet hungover and puking.
I learned more about my Nan and her childhood; the woman for whom she had been a flowergirl when she was a little girl, how she got tipsy at her 18th birthday party and snuck back into the house at 3am, and who her bridesmaids were at her own wedding.
We laughed, we cried, we reminisced.
I got to know parts of my Nan that validated for me why weddings and photos are so important and worth investing in.
My Nan couldn't be at my wedding, but her photo was.
So you see, family history.
Photos are part of stories; funny stories, sad stories - stories that make up your life and what makes you, you.
Your pictures matter, and the people in them matter.

But phone cameras are so good nowadays, right?
They can be, and i'll always work around your Auntie Donna and Uncle Bob getting a photo of you (i'll even hold it straight for them) but they won't see your wedding day the way I do. Your guests photos have value (I certainly love looking at the ones my guests took) but they're more likely to get a nice 'stand and smile' photo of you to send to their friends. They won't see the way your dad looks at you when he sees you for the first time, they won't see your partners face scrunch up trying to suppress the tears, and they won't see the little kiss on the cheek or the hug that's a bit too tight.
I respect you and your guests, I respect their excitement and give them space to enjoy the day with you.
My candid and no pressure approach means nobody gets bossed about. I balance being friendly and professional, ensuring the shots you want are captured while making sure everybody feels special and cared for.

This package is small but mighty; in just three hours I can often achieve detail shots, guest arrival candids, dress reveal reactions, ceremony, confetti shots, group formals, couple portraits and your entry into your sit down meal.

This is your no expense spared, every moment covered, don't wanna miss a thing - full coverage package.
From prep to party - in ten hours I capture it all. You can expect getting ready shots, dress reaction shots, ceremony, confetti, group 'formals', a fun relaxed couple session, feel good candid's, detail shots, speeches (get those tissues ready!), a quick nip outside for golden hour/evening couple shots (if you're up for it), cake cut, first dance (Dad dance too?!) and party shots to end your awesome gallery on a good vibe.

"Where do I start?
From the very first interaction online, I just knew AJay was going to be our photographer.
Her candid shots had this magic about them—exactly what we dreamed of for our wedding. Her vibe clicked instantly. It didn’t feel like we were booking a photographer; it felt like we’d found a best friend to capture our day.
On the wedding morning, A-Jay turned up bright and early ,camera in hand, huge smile on her face and immediately jumped in to help. She helped my mum get my dress out of its bag and arranged my veil so the creases would drop.
Throughout the day, she was everywhere and nowhere all at once always in the thick of it, yet somehow invisible. She was endlessly patient with us, even though I’ve always been known as the family jokester. From my little antics to our last-second decision to do a dip during a walkabout shoot which prompted AJay to exclaim “You’ve gotta warn a girl if you’re gonna do that!” She caught it all.
Guests even said, “I can hear the photographer… but I can’t see her!” And it wasn’t just us - every single guest was captured beautifully. From joyful hugs to quiet smiles, from heartfelt reactions to those blink-and-you-miss-it moments of chaos.
A-Jay captured the soul of the day effortlessly making it feel like we had booked a close friend to capture our wedding day. Quick Fire Questions
AJay, we hate having our photo taken!
Honestly - samesies. Rest assured you're in the hands of someone who UNDERSTANDS - and won't force you to do anything cringey or uncomfortable. I'm well used to helping couples come out of their shells, be their authentic selves and RELAX! As long as you're having a good time - the photos will take care of themselves (and i'll take care of you). I promise.
Do you travel?
I typically travel all across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire and stoke-On-Trent. Occasionally I'll travel a little further afield too - this may be subject to a reasonable travel fee but i'll alway be transparent with you about that from the get go.
We're so excited - when will we get our photos?
My standard turnaround is 6-8 weeks. Sometimes it can be a little quicker (for example during off-peak season) and very occasionally it can take a little longer (for example during the holidays or a bereavement). I will always keep in touch with you to keep you updated on exactly where you are in my queue, provide previews where possible and answer any questions.
Do you cover LGBTQIA+ Weddings?
You bet I do - Love is Love and you don't need to ask here. I would love to chat to you about how we can make sure your day centres you and your love story. I am always trying to improve my inclusivity and ensure my site is a safe space for all so if you have any feedback, rest assured your voice will be heard. If you'd like any recommendations for other inclusive suppliers, I know many! Likewise, if there's a supplier you like the look of but can't tell if they are inclusive, i'm happy to get in touch with them on your behalf. Wedding planning should be nothing but joyful, an you deserve to have the same positive experience as hetero couples.
The prices are confusing me - can you explain further?
Absolutely, I know pricing can be tricky especially when you're just trying to find a photographer you like and within your budget. My prices reflect my time, investment (professional equipment don't come cheap!) experience and skill. My new pricing structure is more flexible, more transparent and easier to personalise and tailor to your exact needs. Let's get into it... my hourly rate is £250 for the first three hours (this is where my Core Memories Package comes in) after that the hourly rate is £150. So the more hours you book, the better deal you get. At ten hours, you get to my 'Full Shebang' package. "But AJay - I don't think we need ten hours?!' That's ok! Many weddings can be covered during an average of 6 hours, which would be £1200. "But AJay - we only want one one or two hours for the ceremony and some couple photos...can you help?" Absolutely - i'd recommend two hours which would be £500 and cover your ceremony, group photos, confetti exit and couple portraits to finish.
We're ready to book! How does it work...
Fantastic! to secure a date I ask for a deductible booking fee of £200, with the outstanding balance due two weeks bedore your wedding. This isa standard non-refundable flat fee that reserves your date and covers any administrative and communicative work in relation to your booking before the big day. Under UK legislation you are entitled to a 14 day cooling off period for any large scale purchase during which time the booking fee can be refunded without penalty. I'm a big advocate for knowing your consumer rights!
